What we collect
- Account details: your email address and the name you give us.
- Your area and saved places: the city, ZIP or location you choose on My Pool, and the venues you save. Location is only used when you choose “Use my location”, and we store it rounded to about a mile.
- Things you submit: venues, events, reviews, instructor profiles, edit suggestions and claim requests, plus an optional email so we can follow up.
- Purchases: what you bought, for which listing, and billing name and address. Card details go directly to our payment processor (WooPayments, powered by Stripe) and are not stored by us.
- Basic technical data: your IP address is used briefly to limit spam on our forms.
How we use it
To run your account and My Pool, review and publish submissions, process promotions, send account and service emails (for example password links, event reminders and promotion renewals), and prevent abuse. We do not sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
Service providers that run the site: our host (Hostinger), our payment processor (Stripe via WooPayments, for purchases), and Google Maps (maps and address lookup). Information you post publicly, such as reviews, events and instructor profiles, is visible to everyone.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, run the cart and checkout, and remember that you have closed the welcome message (for 30 days).
Your choices
You can update your profile any time from your account. To have your account or personal information deleted, email info@playpoolnation.com. We keep purchase records as required for tax and accounting.
